FOOTBALL TEAMS – Manchester United win the FA Cup after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 in the final at Wembley. This means the city of Manchester now has 17 winners and is in second place behind London which has produced 33 winners.

FOOTBALL TEAMS – Leicester City win the Premier League after Tottenham draw 2-2 with Chelsea at home. This is the first time the city of Leicester has produced English League Champions and were given the amazing odds of 5000-1 to achieve the feat at the start of the season.

FOOTBALL TEAMS – Arsenal win the FA Cup for the second year running after defeating Aston Villa in the final at Wembley. This means London now has 33 winners, more than twice as many as the city in second place Manchester.

FOOTBALL TEAMS – Chelsea win the Premier League after defeating Sunderland 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. This gives London 20 league wins overall.

FOOTBALL TEAMS – Arsenal win the FA Cup after defeating Hull City 3-2 after extra time in the final at Wembley. This means London now has 32 winners, twice as many than the town in second place Manchester.

FOOTBALL TEAMS – Chelsea win the Champions League for the first time beating Bayern Munich 4-3 on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw. This is first time London have produced European champions joining the cities of Glasgow, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Liverpool who lead the way with 5 titles.

This means Liverpool, who are currently in third place have closed the gap to three wins from Manchester who have 15 wins in total with London still well clear at the top on 27 wins. This now means that no team outside the three cities of Liverpool, Manchester or London has won the FA Cup in the last 27 years except Coventry in 1987.

This now means that no team outside the three cities of Liverpool, Manchester or London has won the FA Cup in the last 26 years except Coventry in 1987.
